Minutes from the Delaware Artist Guild Meeting on May 22, 2017

President Kris Kolb opened the meeting at the library with a greeting to members and guests.  She reminded members to pick up their pieces from the current show on June 25 from 2-4 at the castle.  There was no other old business.

Kris invited members to contact her if they are interested in purchasing some of her old windows with wavy glass (circa 1923) for $20 each.  They are either pine or oak and are 6 over 1 design.
Saturday, June 24 Central Ohio Symphonic Orchestra and Northwest Neighborhood Association will hold their summer solstice concert from 4-dark at Austin Manor grounds.  Artists may set up and sell their wares (free of charge) between 2 and 4.  The Arts Castle will have activities and food trucks will be there as well.  Bring chairs, blankets, etc.  Kris will update information on email as changes are made to the schedule, etc.

Kris motioned that we accept Carolyn Jones as our Treasurer.  Mary Williams seconded the motion and all agreed.  Ken Hildebrand motioned that we accept the new slate of officers for the year:  President – Sharon Gayhart, VP- Ray Wollscheger , Secretary- Virginia Corwin , and Treasurer - Carolyn Jones.  Richard Kolb seconded the motion and members agreed.

Lynda Elias proposed meeting in early August to discuss and plan the upcoming speaker list.  She will notify members of a date as the time gets closer.

Diane Hodges reminded members of the upcoming Equine Jubilee show that will be in place August through October at the Arts Castle.  See the website for more information.

There was no other business to cover so Kris dismissed the meeting and introduced our speaker, Duane Barger who shared his jewelry making focus.

Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Corwin, Secretary
