Minutes from the Delaware Artist Guild meeting on March 23, 2015

This month’s meeting was held at 7:30 at the Arts Castle.  Lori Palmer filled in for Ken since the heavy snow prevented him from driving from Marion.  Lori welcomed members and went over reports from the officers.  There were no corrections of the minutes from Virginia.  Mike Palmer reported that we now have 28 paid members and $377.09 in the treasury.   He recently paid the web site of $100.   Kris Kolb had no new Newsletter information to share.

Lynda Elias was absent but passed on information through Lori.  The YMCA change-over is scheduled for 10:00 on Tuesday, March 31.  Members can bring their art at that time or make arrangements to bring it at another time.  The DAG show has returned to the Arts Castle and the reception will be from 2:00 to 4:00 on May 31.  More details will be shared at the next meeting. 

Discussion followed regarding the Big Local Tent at Columbus Art Festival in the middle of June.  Set-up is Thursday June 11 and the show begins June 12.  No one at the meeting was clear on the details so recommend that members contact Ken if they are interested in more information. 

It was decided that DAG would participate in the Delaware Arts Festival again this year.  More information will be shared at our next meeting.  The dates are May 16 and 17 and members will be asked to sign up for supervision time in the tent. 
Since there was no additional business, Lori closed the meeting and introduced Angela Gage, our speaker for the evening.  She explained and demonstrated her portrait painting process.
