Minutes from the Delaware Artist Guild Meeting on June 3, 2013
President Lori Palmer opened the last meeting of the year with a welcome to members and guests.  She reminded members to look on the web site for monthly minutes.  Mike Palmer reported that there is currently $204.66 in the treasury and $38 owed for our post office box.

Members were encouraged to send Information for the newsletter to Kris Kolb by the 15th of the month.

Lynda Elias reminded members that the exhibit at the YMCA will be changed on Wednesday, June 5 at 10 A.M.  Members can drop off their art work to her if they cannot get it to the Y.  They can also have her pick up their works.  A reception is planned for Sunday, June 9 from 2-4.

Lynda is still waiting to hear from Paul Weber as to how the Y wants to organize the event.  She will pass on the information to Lori as she receives it and Lori will notify members.

Ken Hildebrand has agreed to be President as long as he has lots of help and support.  Lori agreed to be Vice-President as long as she is not expected to be President next year.  All of the other officers agreed to continue holding their current offices for the coming year. Thanks were expressed for all those who helped support the President and the Exhibition Committee in making the year a success.   Their hard work was much appreciated.

Since we have no Program Chairman, Lynda agreed to call a meeting in early August so those interested can begin looking at possible speakers for the year.  She will notify members of the date closer to the time.

Mary Williams invited members to enter works in the upcoming Arts Castle exhibit ART: Altered Reclaimed Textiles.  The exhibit will be up from Dec. 2 to Jan. 14 with a Public art making event on Dec. 7.  More details are on the Arts Castle website.  She also mentioned that our treasury is too low this year to donate to the Arts Castle.  We will try again next year.

Tom Conrad reminded members that there is a very good all pastel show currently at Highroads Gallery in Worthington.

There was no additional business so Lori concluded the meeting and introduced Michelle Aubrecht who explained her involvement in video game design and creation.

Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Corwin, Secretary
