Minutes from the Delaware Artist Guild Meeting on February 27, 2017

President Kris Kolb opened the meeting at 7:30 at the Delaware library with a welcome to members and guests.  There was no old business to cover.   Current new business is the need for officers for next year.  Kris asked members to let her know if they are interested so that we can take nominations next month.

Dates for the DAG exhibit at the Art Castle were covered.  Drop off will be Sunday, April 30 from 2-4.  The opening reception is Sunday, May 7 from 2-4 and pick up will be Sunday, June 25 from 2-4.  Volunteers were asked to sign up to help with drop off and pick up.  Since we have fewer members this year members can submit up to four pieces for the $15 entrance fee.  Members were encouraged to invite friends to join the guild and enter the exhibit.  Dianne Almendinger agreed to be the judge.

Diane Hodges reminded members of the current exhibit at the Arts Castle.  The Juried High School Art Exhibit will be over tomorrow and the new exhibit – All the Rage – Art and Fashion in Early Delaware will run from March 13 till April 28.

Gallery 22 will feature Annette Mortis Modern Primitive Acrylics from March 3 to April 22.

A Dangerous Woman: Subversion and Surrealism in the Art of Honore Sharrer will be at the Columbus Museum of Art through May 21.

Since there was no new business, Kris adjourned the meeting and introduced James Mellick who shared information about his Wounded Warrior Dogs and Faithful Companions exhibit at the Ohio Craft Museum.

Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Corwin, Secretary
