Minutes for the Delaware Artist Guild Meeting on April 25, 2016
The meeting was called to order by Mary Williams, stand- in President for Kris Kolb who was on vacation. There were 23 members in attendance. The
Treasurer reported the balance in our checking account of of $530.57 with 31 paid members.

Exhibits chairman Lynda Elias thanked everyone for participating in the Spring show at the Castle and asked that we take down / pick up May 25 from 5:00 – 7:00. Please do not pick up your work before 5:00, as requested by the Castle. One member remarked that she had sold a piece at the YMCA. Members are free to swap out pieces as necessary to show new work.

The Delaware Draws/Colors to Gallery 22 has been cancelled. Not enough work was coming in and the committee decided to go another way.

Diane Hodges offered the Castle as a place to paint Rain Barrels if the group would like to participate in the event.

Ray Wollscheger talked about opportunity to sell our work at an upcoming outdoor concert. He passed around a sign up sheet.

DAG will not be doing the Delaware Arts Festival this year as we did not get a booth reserved and no one volunteered to head up a committee.

Nominations for next year’s officers was discussed and will voted on at the next meeting (May 23). Lynda Elias has agreed to continue with exhibits, and Mary Williams as treasurer if necessary. Rhainey Edwards is considering being president.

Ray Wollscheger agreed to provide refreshments for next month.

After a short break for refreshment, Linda Wesner gave a slide show presentation on “Finding Your Muses.” Linda works in oils, graphite, colored pencil, acrylic and collage. She finds her muse in her own family history and hopes each of her works tell a story and bring mirth to the viewer. She encouraged everyone to find and listen to their own personal muse.

Respectfully submitted
Mary Williams
