Delaware Artists Guild Logo

The Delaware Artist’s Guild (DAG) is diverse group of over 50 artists and art enthusiasts. Founded in 1975, the DAG has continued a mission to provide information and encouragement to artists in the area. The DAG does this with monthly meetings which feature visiting artists, hosting educational workshops, travel opportunities to regional museums, and by sponsoring opportunities for members to exhibit their work.

We encourage visitors to check out our website, events, and exhibits. We also would like to extend the invitation for you to sit in on a meeting of your choice. You do not have to be a member to attend these functions. However, we are always looking for new members. The DAG welcomes beginners, professionals, business owners, or just fans of art to become apart of our guild. Please click on our membership page to learn more about the people that make up this amazing group, and what benefits you gain when you become a member. Thanks for visiting with us! Come back soon!

A Message From The President

October’s meeting will take place at Ohio Wesleyan’s sculpture studio at Haycock Hall on Monday the 23rd at 7:30 p.m. Jon Quick will talk about the iron pouring process. No welding mask or gloves required! : ) Haycock Hall is on Hayes Street off of Henry Street, just north of the practice field and across the street from the pool and recreation building.

Several of our members are participating in artist demos early next month at the Arts Castle during the Castle Arts Affair. Check the Castle’s website for dates and times. I hope to be able to stop by and see our members at work.

Do you like to sketch people or places? Here is a link to the Urban Sketchers website: If anyone is interested in trying it out, let’s meet up this Friday, the 20th at 3:30 p.m. at Coffeology, 43 N. Sandusky St., for drawing and conversation. Bring a sketchbook and pen or travel paint set. No need to RSVP. If you can make it, I’ll see you there.
